100th Day of School Activities, But Make It 2021
There’s something about the 100th Day of School that makes me giddy. It might be the fun 100th day activities or the milestone it marks as we are at the halfway point of the year, or it might be the excuse of celebrating for no “real” reason. Nevertheless, the charm of the 100th day has not worn out for me, nor does it show signs of stopping.
HOWEVER. We’ve learned this year to be flexible, and sometimes that means adjusting old expectations to fit the new norm. The 2020 and 2021 spin we’ve put on all the things lately is getting a little old, but luckily these 100th Day of School activities will be just as fun—if not more—than your traditional go-to activities.

100th Day of School Activities, But Make It Safe
Free 100th Day Activity #1: Digital 100th Day Journal Prompt
You can actually get the entire week for free by filling out the form below, but these prompts can seriously work in the face-to-face classroom (where they originated to save me boatloads of time and energy in the morning) OR virtually as you engage on screen with your little ones.
Free 100th Day Activity #2: Youtube Videos
As long as you can find an ad workaround that works for you and your current situation, Youtube is a wealth of free resources for any special occasion (or regular occasion) in the classroom. Dr. Jean is one of my person favorites, but we also love Have Fun Teaching. The kids go wild for them, and it would be a great way to get kids out of their seats and moving rather than sitting in front of a screen all day.
Other Free 100th Day of School Activities
Many activities in my existing 100th Day toolbox are very much in-person activities: building with 100 cups, dropping 100 drops of water into a cup—all the physical stuff. I have faith we can return to those days sooner than (hopefully) later, but until then, here are some more quick no-prep 100th Day activities for distance learning OR in-person:
- 100th Day sentence stems (good for writing or speaking, things like “If I had $100, I would buy _____” always end up getting lots of giggles).
- I can do 100 _______. Just like the videos, getting the kids up and moving is never a bad idea. 100 push-ups, jump 100 times—the sky is the limit.
- 100 Day collections! Ask students to bring in 100 things from home OR collect 100 items around their house to bring back to the virtual classroom to share.
- Counting to 100 in as many ways as possible.
